Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-12
This Cookie Policy explains how Fintecy Ltd ("Fintecy", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at https://fintecy.co. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
We keep this simple, because our use of cookies is simple: one strictly necessary cookie, one consent cookie, and — only if you agree — Google Analytics. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no selling of data.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember your actions and preferences between pages and visits. More information is available at allaboutcookies.org.
Cookies We Set
Strictly necessary and functional
These are required for the site to work and to honour choices you make. They do not track you and do not require consent under UK law (PECR).
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
| ----------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- | --------- |
| fintecy_locale | Remembers the country/region and language you selected | 12 months |
| fintecy_consent | Records your analytics-cookie choice so we don't ask again | 6 months |
We also store your light/dark theme preference and a copy of your locale choice in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device.
Analytics (only with your consent)
If — and only if — you choose "Allow analytics" in the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and what works or doesn't. Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_* (duration up to 13 months). IP anonymisation is enabled, and the advertising features of Google Analytics are disabled.
If you decline, the Google Analytics script is never loaded — not loaded-then-ignored, but never requested at all.
Google processes this data as described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can additionally opt out of Google Analytics across all websites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Changing Your Mind
You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the site footer, which brings the consent banner back. Withdrawing consent stops analytics immediately; you can also delete the existing cookies through your browser settings.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies entirely. If you block the strictly necessary cookies, region and theme selection will not persist between visits, but the site will still work.
What We Do Not Do
- No advertising or targeting cookies
- No third-party tracking pixels or social media beacons
- No fingerprinting
- No sharing of browsing data with advertisers
Changes To This Policy
If we add or change cookies, we will update this page and, where the change requires it, ask for your consent again through the banner.
